Hey whoa, new storyline! And it’s a color one!

Yeah, this does mean that I’m dropping the other one for a while. Which is… unprofessional to say the least. But y’know, I’m shipping off to school in less than 2 months, so fuck it, I’m going to do the storylines I want while I still have time to keep a regular update schedule.

Also, my bud Nathan came up with the name “O’s”. The cheery thing, though – that gem was all me.

This hasn’t exactly been working out. To be completely honest, I think a change needs to be made. I’m not sure I can keep up with doing a color comic every single week. By the time all is said and done, I’ve spent about twenty hours per comic and I just can’t justify that kind of effort all for the 3 and a half people that know this comic exists. Plus, it means the story is paced slow as shit and I have a feeling it’s kind of hard to follow / remember to look at.

So I’m rededicating myself to Silver Age. And that means a few changes, some good and some bad. Instead of 1 color comic a week, I’ll be trying to put out 2 slightly less dense black and white comics a week. This means a reduced panel count, but also bigger art and overall more content per week. In addition, I’m going to make an effort to start using the “blog” section as a proper blog, with regular posts! A post every day seems like a bit much but I guess that’s what I’m shooting for.

The new schedule starts next Wednesday! See you then.

No, there’s not exactly a new comic this week, but I have something better! A fun(!), educational, mutlimedia presentation that will hopefully clear up any confusion about who exactly Tim and Bill are (I feel like this is a good opportunity to remind you of the about page). Did I mention how fun it is?

In addition to that, I wrote out this handy little hypothetical Q/A thing. Here it is, just for you.

Tim and Bill aren’t superheroes? Okay, what are they, then?

Not in the conventional sense. Vigilante is a harsh word, but that’s their basic function.

Tim and Bill work for the city government, and in spite of their unusual methods, they keep the streets somewhat clean and the trains running on time (thanks to the fact that the tracks are clear of tied-down hostages). Tim may be a drunk and Bill may be… Bill, but if there’s one thing they’re both good at, it’s punching people.

What is that clock thing around Tim’s neck? Does it have something to do with time travel? Is that Tim’s super power?

Don’t worry about the clock. The clock is unimportant right now.

Does Tim even have powers?

(squirms in seat uncomfortably).

Does Bill?

Nope! He doesn’t.

I feel like I’m missing a lot of explanation, here.

That’s because you kind of are. Kind of. There is a story that explains the what/why/how of Silver Age (and it explains what the hell is up with Tim’s clock, I promise) but a webcomic is not exactly the ideal storytelling vehicle for that.

The reason I say “kinda” is because none of that stuff is really gonna be important in this webcomic. This is pretty much surface-level adventures with little to no baggage.

Why does Tim have blue hair?

Okay, fine. Tim is an alien from another dimension. Are you happy now?

…No. Now I’m just confused.

I know this isn’t a comic, but Charlotte drew this super cool drawing and I just want to share it with everybody in the world. Also hey it’s nice not to have to look at last week’s ugly comic on the front page.

I actually have a good amount of other really cool drawings of Tim and Bill that really cool people have done. I’ll put it all up in the extras page once I have clearance from everybody.

Wow, this comic is two days late. My apologies. I wish I had a better excuse than “I’ve been busy playing Mass Effect”.

Better comic coming next week. As in, one that wasn’t rushed and sloppily drawn. Also in color.

This is probably the dirtiest joke I have ever written. Here’s hoping my family never, ever finds this comic.

I’m probably going to be playing around with the coloring style a little bit, so forgive me if there isn’t complete visual continuity. I don’t usually do comics in color, so I’m still trying to figure out my process. I’m sure this won’t bother (or be apparent to) anybody in the universe except for me.

Also: regular updates so far! Actually like, a few hours ahead of schedule on this one. Which is, frankly, amazing, if I do say so myself.

It has been brought to my attention that I haven’t really introduced the characters at all. This is mostly because I’m lazy, I guess. The guy with the spiky blue hair is named Tim. The dude with the mask is named Bill. There’s more about them in the About page.

EDIT: I totally knew that martinis don’t have vodka in them. Bill does not have a clear idea of what a martini is. As far as he knows, it’s some kind of clear juice that makes people angry.
